Terms and Conditions

African Courtesy Tours herein after referred to as ‘The Company - tour operator’ accepts bookings subject to the terms and conditions outlined herein, which agreement shall be the whole agreement between the parties:


  • Bookings must be made in writing and sent through to us by email or via an online contact form on
  • No booking shall be considered confirmed until a written confirmation slip has been sent to the agent/clients
  • Upon confirmation of reservation, full amount due is to be paid and any cheques honoured. Proof of payment is to be faxed to African Courtesy tours
  • The agent/client will ensure that the full invoiced amount is to reach us the Operator’s account nett of any bank charges
  • All prices and services are correct at the time of printing.
  • All prices, services and departures are subject to change without prior notice
  • African Courtesy Tours reserves the right to alter the published prices of any tour due to increasing tariffs, costs and entry fees or fluctuation in exchange rates. Such amounts shall be determined at the sole discretion of the company
  • Where applicable African Courtesy tours will not accept any booking where the indemnity form is unsigned or incomplete in any respect


  • All cancellations must be conveyed to African Courtesy tours in writing
  • On receiving notification of any cancellation or amendment the following cancellation structure will be applicable to cover The Operator’s costs to that date, and those of The Operator’s contractors or suppliers .

The following cancellation penalties will be applicable:

  • 45 – 31 days before tour starts, 10% cancellation fee is applicable
  • 30 – 15 days before tour starts, 50% cancellation fee is applicable
  • 14 – 01 days before tour starts, 100% cancellation fee is applicable
  • “No Show “ 100% cancellation fee applicable

Passports, Visas and Other Travel Papers

  • It is the clients’ sole responsibility to ensure that passports, visas, health certificates, proof of vaccination and other required documentation are in order for the countries to be visited.
  • The Company cannot be held liable for any consequences, damages or claims if the clients prior to commencement of the tour, failed to attend correctly to their documentation and related matters


Comprehensive travel and cancellation insurance is mandatory on all tours. It is the clients’ responsibility to ensure that they have this insurance in place, and the required paperwork.

The clients accept that all tours are of an adventurous nature, and all involve an element of personal risk. Neither the Company nor any of its agents shall be held liable in any way for any injury. Loss of life or damage to property, howsoever caused, and the client hereby indemnifies and holds the Company, its agent, assigns and servants harmless from any such claims. The client accepts the responsibility for all risks involved

The client accepts that to participate in the tour requires a measure of physical fitness and health, and it is the clients’ obligation to ensure that they are medically fit to embark on the tour.

Authority on Tours
The decisions of the Company’s guide/driver on tour shall at all times be final and binding.

The client must at all times comply with the laws, customs and foreign exchange regulations of all countries visited.

The Company reserves the right to use any photographs and video taken during the tours for use in marketing, and the client hereby gives the consent of such photographs to be used, and for the Company to retain copyright over such material.

Force Majeure
Unforeseen circumstances including but not limited to war, mechanical breakdowns, weather, riots and any other unforeseen reasons beyond the control of the Company may cause delays or alterations to the tour. The Company shall not be held in any way liable for any of these possible occurrences, or any consequences which may arise as a result of these.
