Visit the Victoria Falls

This is a must see in one’s life time.  Located about 620 miles away from the source of the Zambezi River in Western Zambia. Commonly known as the “Vic Falls”, The Victoria Falls is one of the Seven Wonders of the World and  are some of the most beautiful water falls in the entire world.

Height of Victoria Falls: 108 metres; Width of Victoria Falls: 1700 metres; Average flow rate: 1,088 cubic metres of water per second. If height times width is taken to be the measure of the size of a waterfall then Victoria Falls is the largest waterfall in the world. You can witness the falls from either Zambia or Zimbabwe. Perhaps the most refreshing and inspiring site is the massive tower of spray from the falls which can be seen from over 20KMs away.

Visit Cape Town

Cape Town is on the south-western coast of South Africa and the setting of the town is simply superb, with the sea to the front and table mountain rising behind the city. There are many highlights in the town, and at least a week will be needed to even begin to scrape the surface of the city. Some of our favourites included:the vantage point on Table Mountain for some great views across the city and out to sea, and reached by cablecar. Nearby Signal Hill also has fine views across the city. the boat trip out to Robben Island, where Nelson Mandela was imprisoned.

Visit The Okavango Delta

The Okavango Delta is one of the world’s largest inland water systems. It's headwaters start in Angola’s western highlands, with numerous tributaries joining to form the Cubango river, which then flows through Namibia (called the Kavango) and finally enters Botswana, where it is then called the Okavango. Millions of years ago the Okavango river used to flow into a large inland lake called Lake Makgadikgadi (now Makgadikgadi Pans). Tectonic activity and faulting interrupted the flow of the river causing it to backup and form what is now the Okavango delta. This has created a unique system of water ways that now supports a vast array of animal and plant life that would have otherwise been a dry Kalahari savanna.
